Programme + Centre Tuition

• Telephone or email us to find out space/time availability at the Centre of your choice.

• Before your child can start, we give an initial assessment test.

• Arrange to bring your child/children to one of our Centres where we will test, assess and report there and then.

• The results of the test determines which Phoenix Academy Clicks Programme stage your child/ children will start on.

 

This initial test is the starting point

• You complete a Booking Agreement (minimum term: 16 weeks) and we reserve a place for your child/children.

• Your child attends the Centre of your choice on the day and time selected.

• Your child will work in a small group of 8 – 10 students*.

• The Group Tutor will teach, support, mark and determine how much work is to be done during the session.

• If you have selected a No Homework Option for your child, the work booklet is kept and returned to our Office.

• If you have selected a Homework Option for your child, the work booklet will be sent home at the end of the session and must be returned the following week.

• Each child is assigned a Programme Assessor to monitor their programme of work.

• Each week your child’s work is marked and the next week’s work allocated.

* If you select a No Homework option, group size will be a maximum of 10 students.
If you select a Homework option, group size will be a maximum of 8 students.

Programme + One to One Home Tuition

• If you download a test pay the test fee online and a trained Assessor will assess and report back to you by phone or email.

• Arrange to bring your child/children to one of our Centres where we will test, assess and report there and then.

• The results of the test determines which Phoenix Academy Clicks Programme stage your child/ children will start on.

• You complete a Booking Agreement (minimum term: 16 weeks) and we reserve a place for your child/children.

• We allocate your child/children’s Tutor and an introduction is made by phone.

• Your child’s Tutor will attend your home at the specified time and day.

• The Tutor will teach, support, mark and determine how much work is to be done during the session.

• If you have selected a No Homework Option for your child/children, the work booklet is kept and returned to our Office.

• If you have selected a Homework Option for your child/children keep the work booklet and it will be collected at the following session to be marked.

• Every two months, your child will be tested again to ensure that the Programme level is still appropriate.
  (At this stage we make whatever adjustments are needed)

 

 

 

Home Study Programme

Option Selections

• If you select a Booster group option to prepare your child for SATs or Secondary School entrance tests,

  we provide past practice papers covering the specific requirements. These sessions include,

  tutoring, testing, learning examination &interview techniques.

  (These classes do not include a homework programme or the loan of reading books

• If you select a Phoenix Programme One-to-one home tuition option, the tutor will support and guide your child
  during the hourly sessions.

• The Programme incorporates SATs preparation as standard.

We work in local schools providing additional English and Maths support for students.

Our Phoenix Academy Clicks Programme is comprehensive and caters specifically for the individual needs of each student. The programme introduces (as necessary) and consolidates essential skills and concepts in Maths and English in a child friendly format and is compatible with the UK National Curriculum and adapted for the USA.

Students on the whole gain confidence and evidence of progress is reflected quite quickly in their performance in school.

Our programme is particularly effective when used as a remedial intervention.

Our programme is effective used alone or as a supplement.

How it Works

In the first instance we give each student a simple test to ascertain areas of strength and weakness.

We provide the appropriate work booklets
We monitor progress after each session.
Study sessions are for 1 hour.
Staff pupil ratio is 1 : 10 (At our discretion and in addition, we generally send an assistant tutor)
Sessions are held: Before school, during the school day or after school.
Each study group: 10 students
Booking period: To be agreed.
